It Is Us
We are a Jewish grassroots initiative sparking maverick action and tough conversations around our communal boundaries, dignity, civil rights, self-sabotage and personal liberation.
“We have met the enemy, and they are ours. Two ships, two brigs, one schooner and one sloop.”
-U.S. Naval Cmdr. Oliver Hazard Perry regarding the three-hour rout of the British in the Battle of Lake Erie, Sept. 10, 1813
“We have met the enemy, and he is us.”
- Pogo comic strip by cartoonist Walt Kelly, published on Earth Day 1971, to address man-made pollution
“Pogo, the cartoon, once said, ‘we have seen the enemy, and he is us.’ I see it all the time…the greatest enemies that Jews face, the greatest enemy that Israel faces, one word: Jews.”
-Legal legend Alan Dershowitz on Feb. 26, 2025, at the Countering Antisemitism Summit, Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach
What fresh hell is this.
Who We Are
We're the people who are tired of groping for words when the anti-Zionist ("as a Jew") hordes come out, frothing and railing against us.
We're the people who are sick of our rabbis signing filthy anti-Israel petitions, giving more sermons about Palestinians than Jews, and spurning real Christian allies while kissing up to "interfaith" and social justice groups that hate our guts.
We're the people who get that Jews are an ancient, gorgeous people, an ethno-religion (along with our beautiful, righteous converts!). We want to know more Jews. We want to live near more Jews. We want to be better Jews. We are liberating ourselves from glassy-eyed universalism. We are awake.
We're the people who are done with legacy Jewish organizations who unstated mission is self-perpetuation and throwing fancy galas. We're showing up for the grassroots groups that are overtaking the traditional organizations--in action, traction, and innovation. We affirm the new world order: democratic, topsy-turvy, ground-up, messy, winning...

Christian Zionists
Jewish fear and distrust of Christians is perfectly rational, given our shared history.
Yet many of us can attest to how Christian Zionists keep showing up for us in the most hostile spaces.
We aim to break down ancient barriers and modern anti-Christian bigotry to forge a lasting, trusting alliance and friendship with Christian Zionists.

Jewish Anti-Zionists
Peter Beinart. Judith Butler. Shaul Magid.
It's nothing new.
Jewish anti-Zionists have long laid claim to their Judaism while hypocritically attacking our right to our history, our Covenant, and our peoplehood.
Elite Jewish anti-Zionists have been publicly attacking Zionists 1902 when journalist and father of modern Zionism Theodor Herzl wrote, famously: "If you will it, it is no dream."
We examine this unique phenomenon--Jews against themselves--in all of its perverse permutations.
Jewish anti-Zionists aren't just against Israel. They are against Jews. Because being safely Jewish in 2025 depends on the existence of a mighty Israel. Diaspora Jews triangulate to Israel. Our connections are terrific, and growing daily. We are witnessing a new era of closeness with Eretz Israel. We are not Jews without Israel.
Jewish anti-Zionists are Jewish anti-Jews. They must singled out, called out, and even cast out.

Take Back our Shuls
So many rabbis in the Reform and Conservative movements, when it comes to Israel, "both-sides" it.
Unacceptable.
Our leaders, if nothing else, cannot advocate or platform people who want to rob us of our Jewish heartland and Jewish peoplehood.
We are holding our rabbis to certain basic standards.

Building Jewish Communities
We help spark meetups in the Diaspora in order to lean into our shared peoplehood, history, humor and trauma.

Amplifying a new paradigm for Jewish life
The sun has set on traditional Jewish organizations. We are witnessing the emergence of a new, raw, creative, effective energy bubbling up from the bottom and overtaking the calcified organizations that once were at the top.
It's a new day for American Jewry, and the faster the old timers and old thinkers embrace this new order, the better for all of us.
To that end, we urge you to put your dollars where they count.
Below is a list of grassroots organizations that could really use your help. This list is not an endorsement.
Grassroots groups are messy--they sputter along, they wobble, they often fall short--but just as often they move the needle--on their block, in their neighborhoods, in their cities...
